Restoring Our Natural Heritage

Activity Day Information

The Mulgoa Landcare Group meets on the last Saturday morning (9am until midday) of each month to undertake bush regeneration work at various sites along the Mulgoa Creek vegetation corridor. Bush regeneration work entails the removal of invasive environmental and noxious weeds which are impacting the diversity of our native species. Occaisonally we undertake planting and installation of stock exclusion fencing. We provide tools, gloves, herbicide and basic plant identification information to all of our volunteers. We always appreciate an extra pair of hands!

In conjunction with Janet Rannard from Penrith Council – we will be commencing a NEW mid week Landcare Group in September. On the first Wednesday morning of each month we will meet at Gow Park to undertake follow-up bush regeneration work. We are hoping to tap into volunteers who find Saturday mornings difficult to commit to (often as a result of sporting commitments) and who may have a few spare hours mid week to donate to a very worthwhile environmental cause. Contact me for more information – or let me know if there is a group or a friend who you think may be able to help out with “mid-week Landcare”.
